We are delighted to announce that Justice Rangajeeva Wimalasena, Judge of the Supreme Court of Papua New Guinea, and former President of the Court of Appeal in Nauru was the winner of the GG2 Leadership and Diversity Award for Outstanding Achievement in Law held in London on 25 March 2026. The award was given to recognise Justice Wimalasena’s leadership in promoting the Nauru Declaration on Judicial Well-Being and the continued work in this area including the UN International Day of Judicial Well-Being.

Prior to the Awards Dinner, Justice Wimalasena, HH. Judge Kaul and Prof Cheryl Thomas from University College
London visited the CMJA’s offices to meet with the CMJA Secretary General.
